The California Council on Science and Technology (CCST) hosted the CCST Climate Science Translators Showcase on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at the Exploratorium as an Affiliate Event of the historic Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco — held during the "Celebration of Science and Education" reception hosted by the Governor's Office of Planning and Research (OPR), CCST, the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, CalEPA, and Ten Strands. The #CCSTShowcase recruited and trained 12 graduate students and postdocs from California universities and research institutions to communicate their climate-related research to policy leaders, staff, and other Summit delegates.
The California Council on Science and Technology (CCST) hosted the inaugural California Science Translators Showcase on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 in the Eureka Room in the California State Captiol. Organized with the support of Assemblymember Jose Medina (D-Riverside), the program recruited and trained 15 graduate students and postdocs from UC, Cal State, Stanford, and Caltech campus to communicate their research to state policymakers and staff.
